Ready for your next volunteering adventure?
Applications open 29 August for roles in the International Support Team (IST) and Contingent Support Team (CST) for the 26th World Scout Jamboree in Poland.
IST members take on on-site roles at the Jamboree to help it run smoothly, while CST support the planning and delivery of the trip for everyone attending from the UK, both during preparations and in-country.

Sunderland District AGM 2025
The District AGM will be held on Wednesday, 10th September at 7:30pm at 2nd Herrington Scout HQ, Crow Lane, Herrington, Sunderland, SR3 3TE.
Following the formal business there will be a presentation from our Guest Speaker the Sunderland Voluntary Sector Alliance, promoting the funding, training and support opportunities available to us.
The Trustee’s Annual Report and accounts for this year is now available for you to view prior to the meeting.

How Sunderland started the global Scouts movement as new blue plaque unveiled.
We are a global movement, building young friendships and skills across the world - and it all started in Sunderland. The plaque was presented by the Lord-Lieutenant of Tyne & Wear Lucy Winskell OBE and Ben Hodgkiss, UK Contingent Leader for the Scouts, as well as representatives from Vaux Own and local scout groups.
